Everyone enjoys going on vacation, it`s one of the high points of the year. Choosing the right accommodation, however, can be more than a little confusing. If you choose accommodation that doesn`t fully cater to your needs it can turn a dream holiday into a bit of a nightmare.  In order to decide which accommodation is right for you there are a few things you need to consider. These include, but aren`t limited to, how many of you are going away together, how old the members of your party are, whether you can afford to eat out every night and what kind of things you want to get up to when you are away. All the various types of available Florida accommodation are suitable for certain types of travelers. You just need to be certain that they are right for you in order to make the most of your stay in the sunshine state.

Hotels

One of the most popular types of accommodation in Florida is the wide variety of hotels on offer. They range in price from budget to boutique and many have a full range of amenities such as swimming pools, bars and restaurants within the premises. While hotels are a popular choice for couples, they can work out expensive for larger family groups. That being said, hotels are a great choice if you want an easy vacation with all the amenities right at your doorstep.  Many hotels are within easy reach of all the top attractions throughout the area and you will often find that some of the bigger hotels offer shuttle services to some of Florida`s resorts. The down side of hotels, however, is the lack of privacy. You will constantly be surrounded by other guests, apart from when you are in your own room. While this can offer a great way of getting to know people while you are on vacation, if you value your space you may want to consider a different accommodation option.

Camping and Youth Hostels

For the budget conscious, camping and youth hostels offer a great way to enjoy Florida without it costing the earth. While youth hostels are great for students and young adults, if you are a family with young children they can actually work out more expensive than staying in a private villa. Campsites are always awesome fun for kids. Many will have swimming pools and play areas as part of the facilities on offer and you will also find bars and restaurants within easy reach which is fantastic if you don`t fancy cooking over a camping stove. While campsites are fun, camping can be hard work - especially after a long day of sightseeing.

Private Villas

One of the most popular forms of accommodation in the area is the wide range of private villas which are available to rent. Private Florida villa rentals provide many benefits, especially for families with children or for larger groups of friends who are travelling together. Many Florida villas have all the facilities that you would hope for on your holiday such as swimming pools yet they are one of the most cost effective places to stay and are a great place from which to base your Florida vacation.
