-- NC Filmed My Big Fat Fabulous Life Returns to TLC

The N. C.-filmed reality series "My Big Fat Fabulous Life" returned to TLC with its third season earlier this month. The reality series follows Whitney Thore, who lives in the Piedmont Triad Region, on her emotional journey after being diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome, which caused her to gain 200 pounds in one year. The series follows Whitney and her family as she shares her passion for dancing with others as well as spearheads a campaign that fights body-shaming and promotes self-love and acceptance. According to the N.C. Film Office, the show is estimated to have direct spend of around $350,000 in the state each season. MBFFL airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on TLC.
