This eatery is tucked away in what has become one of
the Queen City′s hot spots for clubbing especially for the younger crowd
to which I used to be a card-carrying member. Drive through here from Thursday
through Saturday nights and you will find a Vegas-type
atmosphere of young folks club hopping along the now-famous Montford Drive
strip. This area is also very busy during Saturday afternoon especially
during college football season when you can see folks wearing the jerseys of
their favorite gridiron team or Alma-mater. This strip also comes
complete with a bowling alley, AAA car repair, Wendy′s, and doggy
lounge, to name a few other amenities.
Located in proximity to this strip ironically is the childhood home site of one of the world′s most famous Evangelist the Reverend Billy Graham who′s family farm sat where the Park Road Shopping Center is currently located. According to the book Charlotte From A Tour Guide′s Perspective his childhood home was saved from the wrecking ball by former Televangelist Jim Bakker who then moved it to their grounds at what used to be Heritage U.S.A. located in Ft. Mill, SC; about 15 miles south. We used to take tour groups out there back in the early 1990′s before him and his former wife Tammy Faye (now deceased) lost it all after his conviction for mail fraud in late 1989 at the Charlotte Federal Courthouse in Uptown. The home was moved again in about 2007 to the Billy Graham Museum site off Billy Graham Parkway near the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport. We have treated many tour groups to that attraction via Queen City Tourssm and Travel

Now; let′s get back to the matter at hand. My recent
visit to this eatery was not my first. I decided to make another stop because I
was in the area providing contract transportation services, it was lunch time, the
lines were not long, and I enjoyed my last meal here; especially the rotisserie
chicken. I decided to eat in this time to get a feel for the atmosphere. It was
somewhat casual and laid back just like I like it, especially while out
working. The staff was cordial and friendly and they now have the record for
the fastest Order-Up since I have been reviewing eateries over the past
seven years. My order was actually waiting on me less than a minute after
paying; it was like the line-cook came complete with the super natural talent
of ESP (Extra Sensory Perception). Their sanitation grade of 96 let me know
that they are clean as well as fresh.
