I discovered this eatery while engaged in contract transportation services for Queen City Tours™ and Travel in the Concord, NC, area which is a sleepy town just North and adjacent to the Queen City. I did not think that much about this jewel until a second person mentioned that it was good eating. It was then that I decided to place it on my list for a stop through the next time that I was in the area.
This place is located just north of the most popular attraction in Cabarrus County which includes the cities of Concord, Harrisburg, Kannapolis, Midland, and Mount Pleasant. The Charlotte Motor Speedway is home to two major races on the NASCAR circuit; the Coca-Cola 600 every May, and BOA 500 every October. Each race draws thousands of race fans from around the U.S. and as far away as Australia. My company has been providing safe rides to and from the track since 2004 via our QCT Charlotte NASCAR Shuttle™.
The City of Concord was once only known for textile manufacturing but today is also home to Concord Mills Mall; the largest shopping venue in North and South Carolina, the Great Wolf Lodge indoor water park, and the ZMax drag racing track as well as several racing museums making it a mini tourist destination.
Back to the matter at hand; I finally got a chance to stop through this eatery on a Saturday evening after several missed attempts due to their hours (closes at 8 pm) and days open (Monday thru Saturday). They had plenty of parking in front and in the back for overflows. Their interior was ranch-style and needed a little attention in terms of a few napkins on the floor. They provide 4-8 person tables, basic furniture, with plastic table cloths.
