I had driven by this eatery many times on my way home from conducting my QCT Charlotte Daily City Tourssm before I finally decided to stop in and check out their cuisine. This establishment is located along the very busy South Boulevard corridor in Charlotte, NC, which is littered with many eclectic restaurants and pubs that feature a wide-variety of cultural and ethnics delights. I must admit that I did not know that Punta Cana was actually a very popular tourist destination in the Dominican Republic located off the coast of the Caribbean Sea and just west of Puerto Rico until I overheard a conversation by folks that had been there on vacation.
I was quite pleased with the interior decor as it immediately gave me the impression that I was actually in the Caribbean or my hometown of Miami, FL. I am of Bahamian descendant and therefore possess a six sense for genuine Caribbean flavor. Outside I like the fact that they have plenty of parking so finding a good spot was not a problem at all. I also like the fact that the sanitation code was 97.0 and the restroom was clean. In addition, the Caribbean ambience was greatly enhanced by the sweet sounds of Soca from Trinidad and Tobago playing in the background. The staff was very friendly as I ordered my usual take out meal in this case was the fried pork chop dinner.
