I
arrived at this eatery at approximately
7:25 pm after eyeing it for
several months while transporting guests for
Queen City Tours and Travel in the
Concord,
NC, area. The
parking area in front of the restaurant is very limited but there is plenty of additional
parking nearby in the
Food Lion shopping plaza. I was greeted immediately by a cordial
and very friendly staff member. Their sanitation grade was a perfect
100, which is rare but very pleasing to know that they care about their customers enough to provide a clean
environment to dine. On that note, their dining area was relatively small with
basic cafeteria-style tables and metal chairs with cushions. They do have an outdoor
patio area on the front and side of the building off
Pitt School Road
which provides for an open-air type dining experience.

Their
dining and men's bathroom areas were clean, but the front of the establishment needed
a little attention. Their menu was conspicuously displayed on a large board to the
left of and behind the cashier area, and they had neat souvenirs available for
purchase. Also, they had a large screen
TV playing
ESPN for us die
hard sports fans. There were a few sit-down customers dining when I arrived and
no one on the patio. I ordered their
Turkey Burger (nice option),
G.O.A.T. style (1/2-pound burger topped with creamy goat cheese, candied bacon,
crispy hand breaded onion frizzles, house-made smokehouse aioli (garlic and
olive oil sauce), and lettuce & tomato), with fries. My total came to
$14.97 with tax and
included
$2.50 extra for the
G.O.A.T.
style.
My to go order was up in about
12 minutes and my fries were just ok but not
as well prepared as other similar eateries; not as crispy on the outside, and slightly
mushy on the inside. My burger was smaller than what I expected, but superb
compared to similar eateries; perfectly charbroiled on the outside, and tender
and tasty on the inside. Their sauce was uniquely delicious; slightly tangy but
sweet, and their bacon strips were a big plus. I plan to be back for their
Turkey
Burger and
G.O.A.T. option, and great service, but will order a different
side next time.
