A Family Legacy!

Mikki´s Soulfood Restaurant & Catering – Pearland, Texas

📍 Discovery and First Impressions 🚗🍽️

Mikki´s in Pearland, Texas, was my chosen lunch destination on Wednesday, during a Juneteenth-related trip ✊. Referred by Attorney Stevenson of Sugar Land, I arrived around noon and was pleased to find Mikki´s nestled in a busy shopping plaza with plenty of parking 🅿️. From the moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the inviting atmosphere: modern contemporary furniture 🪑, padded booths, 4–6 person tables, and sleek 2-person bar seating created a cozy and stylish vibe 🎵🌟.

🍽️ Dining Experience and Décor 🎶✨

Mikki´s uses a cafeteria-style service setup, allowing for fast and efficient movement during the lunch rush 🛎️⏱️. I was warmly greeted by uniformed staff 👋🏾🧑🏽‍🍳; who were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive—raising the hospitality standard. The dining area was clean and well-maintained 🧼🪟, filled with soft classic R&B music 🎶 that set a relaxing tone. I also appreciated the available charging outlet 🔌 near my seat�a great feature for travelers needing a power boost 📱.

🥘 The Main Event: Food Selection and Taste 😋🍴

With more than a dozen meats to choose from 🍗🥩, I opted for the ham hocks—even though it wasn’t New Year’s Day 🎉 paired with seasoned greens 🥬, candied yams 🍠, and mashed potatoes 🥔. The ham hocks were tender, juicy, and smothered in savory gravy, topped with steamed onions and bell peppers 🧅🫑 a flavor profile unlike any I’ve experienced before. Each side dish complemented the meal perfectly. As an added delight, the staff surprised me with a free serving of banana pudding 🍌🍮 a sweet finish to an outstanding meal.

🏆 Legacy and Final Thoughts ⭐🍽️

I learned from a team member that Mikki´s has been in business for 25 years in Sugar Land and has proudly served the Pearland community for the past four years (as of 2023) 🎉💼. This establishment clearly takes pride in its roots while serving up soul food with style and heart ❤️🍛. From the ambiance to the food and service, Mikki´s offers a complete culinary experience. I plan to return on my next visit to the Houston area 📍🧳. Without hesitation, Mikki´s earns a 5-star rating 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 in this Trend Magazine Online™ Summer June 2025 edition 🗞️🖥️.
