QCT Charlotte Pilgrimage Tour Black History Month 2025 Pic!

On August 20, 1998, the 🌍 Interfaith Pilgrimage stopped through Charlotte as part of their journey from Boston to West Africa. The Pilgrims re-traced the Middle Passage slave trade routes as they prayed πŸ™πŸΎ for racial healing πŸ’” and atonement for past institution of Slavery in the United States, South America, and Europe. While in Charlotte, the Pilgrims took a customized πŸ›€οΈ Black Heritage Tour™ of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. Among the sites visited by the Pilgrims was a former Slave church β›ͺ and three existing Slave cemeteries ⚰️. Each year, 🌟 Queen City Tourssm and Travel invites you to experience the re-creation of this special πŸ›€οΈ Charlotte Black Heritage Tour™ and Pilgrimage as individuals during the months of February - Black History Month ✊🏾, and June - Juneteenth ✨.
🌟 Visit three existing Slave cemeteries ⚰️, a former Slave church β›ͺ, and over 50 other sites of Charlotte Black/African-American history πŸ“œ on this tour. Tours are scheduled daily in February - Black History Month ✊🏽, and June - Juneteenth πŸŽ‰ at 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM. Each tour lasts three hours and departs from the 7th Street Public Market in Uptown Charlotte located at 224 East 7th Street, next to the Lynx Blue Line Light Rail Station πŸš‰. In addition, seats are donated by individuals, organizations, and companies that realize the importance of our underprivileged youth learning their history as opposed to becoming a part of negative history πŸ’”.
